Einstein said if bees die out, we die out. And right now, our bees are in trouble.
Capital Growth, London’s food growing network, tasked us with coming up with a disruptive campaign to get the subject on the lips of Londoners.
One problem, most people don’t like anything that stings.
So, inspired by the dead fly art of Magnus Muhr, we created these cute Little Londoners. Bees in perilous situations asking for London’s help.
The campaign ran across posters throughout the London Underground network, with field marketing at horticultural shows and we produced three viral animations. The results? 7,500 pledges to help on the Capital Bee website. 70,000 YouTube hits overnight and huge coverage on BBC News, including a sound bite from Boris Johnson himself.
